I want to first offer my sincere congratulations to Jeff Flake. I hope Senator Flake will represent Arizona by strongly advancing the case for strictly limited government including individual rights and responsibilities, free markets and fiscal responsibility. Our country is in dire need of strong leadership in opposition to those who support redistribution of wealth, ever increasing government and endless wars. I am hopeful Senator Flake will strongly promote the founder’s libertarian principles that helped make America a great nation. I want to thank everyone who voted for me. My goal has always been, and continues to be, to win hearts and minds for the cause of human freedom.
I am grateful for the solid support I received in a hard fought and close election. I remain firmly committed to the cause of freedom, and I am encouraged by the people who voted for me despite the substantial challenges faced by any third party candidate. Finally, I want to publicly thank all those who helped make my first political campaign a reality. I entered the race very late with no organizational support whatsoever. Despite this disadvantage, my campaign hastily pulled together to get the word out about my candidacy and to help promote freedom. My campaign has never been about me.
All those associated with my campaign, and many people who voted for me, know my campaign was solely about promoting freedom and improving our country. I hope I have advanced the cause of freedom by my efforts. If even one more person today supports the cause of freedom than before my campaign, I claim victory. The fight for human freedom existed long before my campaign, and will continue long after. I urge all Americans to do whatever possible to assist in that most important and long standing cause of fighting for human freedom; our country depends on it.
